Scientific Advisory Board

The Scientific Advisory Board advises the BNN on analytical issues. It supports the BNN office and members in the development of special quality guidelines for the natural food trade, which go beyond the legal requirements for organic products. One focus is the work on the BNN guideline value for pesticides.

BNN's Scientific Advisory Board, established in 2001, includes Dr Günter Lach (Lach & Bruns Partnership, Consulting Chemists), Martin Rombach (Director of the Prüfstelle für Ökologischer Landbau GmbH), Prof. Dr Thomas Simat (Professor of Food Science and Consumer Goods at the Technical University of Dresden) and the chemist and eco-expert Ulrich Heinze.
